Teach to Learn
This week I’ll be planning and preparing to teach a writing class for ten adults who requested it of their bookstore owner who requested it of me. This is going to be stretch! But I said I’d try, and if my theory pans out, I should also become a better writer for the effort.
I’ll start at the very beginning, a very good place to start…ABC…and by going back to the basics I may refresh some fundamentals that have become so familiar that I forget to use them. I’ll be reminding myself of questions I once asked, and how important those answers are even if I don’t ask them anymore. Starting at the beginning will be logical for my class; for me it will be a helpful refresher. I hope they ask a lot of questions that will send me scrambling for solid answers that will help everyone, including me, to become better writers.
