The Mysterious Life of Jim Limber

Who was this child Varina Davis, wife of Jefferson Davis, the Confederate President, rescued in Richmond, Feb. 1864? For 14 months he lived with the Davis family in the White House of the Confederacy.
The first third of this book is biography, based on the writings of Varina Davis. The middle third of the book is historical fiction through a probable adolescence. The final third is a choose-your-own ending, or write-your-own ending.
I'd like to introduce you to a new author: Aanya is a 3rd grader in Lilburn, GA. She is the first reader to accept my challenge to "write your own ending" to Jim Limber's story. Here is her ending:
Jim Limber had yellow fever. His grandfather taught him how to make medicine. He had to escape from his home because well, he did not like being fncy. So he ran away. When he found out he had Yellow Fever he got some herbs and he made medicine. He eventually got better and became a doctor of medicine. He changed his name to Jim Raspotnik. He had to change his name because if somebody found out he was who he was he would be taken bck to the Davises family. Jim Raspotnik married a woman named Caroline Raspotnik. He had 3 children Cristn, Shorya and Amaria. He lived to be 87 years old and died of a serious case of T.B..
